What Can't Go in My Dumpster?
You can toss a wide range of debris in our dumpster rentals, but there are certain materials the landfill doesn’t accept. Prohibited items include anything flammable, toxic or hazardous. The City of Detroit and local businesses offer safe disposal options for the waste we can’t accept.
Hazardous Household Waste Disposal
Hazardous items like paint, fluorescent lightbulbs and gasoline can’t go the landfill. These should go to the city’s household hazardous waste facility on Thursdays from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. or every fourth Saturday of the month from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
