We accept most junk and debris in our residential and commercial dumpsters. However, there are certain items, like household hazardous waste, that we can’t accept. The City of Westlake waste management services provide several disposal and recycling options for these items and more.
Westlake Hazardous Waste Disposal
Hazardous waste is anything that has ‘POISON,’ DANGER,’ ‘WARNING’ or ‘CAUTION’ written on the label. Cuyahoga County offers a Household Hazardous Waste Disposal Program to help residents properly dispose of automotive fluids, oil-based paint, pesticides and other hazardous household products. Batteries, fluorescent bulbs and latex paint are not accepted in this program.
